The church was declared unsafe and had been demolished. The pictures below show the materials from the church after they were separated and put in different piles. These pictures were taken on the June, 2012 trip.
After the church was demolished and the usable material was separated, the construction of the new church began. The pictures below show the stage of construction of the church on the June, 2014 trip.

On Jan. 12, 2010, a devastating earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 struck Haiti, killing more than 160,000 and displacing close to 1.5 million people. The pictures below show some of the damage that the church in Gandou had experienced due to the earthquake. These pictures were taken on the March, 2010 trip.
